Terms of Service — Web2Markdown

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using the Web2Markdown Chrome extension ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the extension.

2. Description of Service

Web2Markdown is a browser extension that converts web page content to Markdown format for personal or professional use. It includes a free tier and an optional Pro subscription with additional features.

3. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the extension for lawful purposes. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or resell the extension.

4. Pro Subscription

Pro plans are billed monthly ($9/month) or annually ($79/year) via Lemon Squeezy.
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
Refunds are handled per Lemon Squeezy's refund policy (typically 14-day window).
Pro features are tied to a license key; sharing keys across multiple users is not permitted.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the extension to:

Scrape content in violation of a website's terms of service
Infringe on third-party intellectual property rights
Automate mass harvesting of content without permission

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The extension is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that the extension will be error-free. Markdown output quality depends on the structure of the source web page.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Howtek shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the extension.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be announced via the extension update notes.
